1. Who We Are

Online Compass Pro (onlinecompasspro.com) is a free browser-based collection of precision sensor tools — including a digital compass, spirit level, ruler, speedometer, inclinometer, protractor, noise meter, and altimeter. 2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

• Compass headings or sensor readings — these are processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted.
• GPS coordinates or altitude data — location is accessed locally only if you grant permission, and the reading is displayed to you, not sent to us.
• Microphone audio or decibel levels — the noise meter processes audio locally and discards it immediately.
• Accelerometer, gyroscope, or magnetometer data.
• Names, email addresses, or any contact details (unless you choose to email us directly).
• IP addresses linked to user profiles.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal local browser storage for functional purposes only:

• Language preference cookie — set by Google Translate to remember your selected display language across page reloads. No personal data is stored.
• Achievement / streak data — gamification badges and daily streak counts are stored in your browser's localStorage only. This data never leaves your device.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may set their own cookies:

• Google Translate — provides the language selector in the navigation bar. Google may set a cookie to remember your language preference. Google's own privacy policy applies to its service: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Fonts — loads the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Google may log the font request. We use display=swap to minimise loading delay.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking or advertising platform.

5. Device Sensor Permissions

Some tools request access to device sensors:

• Device Orientation / Motion — used by the compass, spirit level, and inclinometer. On iOS, permission is requested explicitly; on Android it is granted automatically if the browser supports it.
• Geolocation — used by the speedometer, altimeter, and compass (for magnetic declination correction). Permission is requested by your browser before any location data is accessed.
• Microphone — used by the noise meter. Permission is requested before any audio is captured. Audio is analysed in real time and never recorded or transmitted.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your browser settings. Revoking a permission disables the relevant tool but does not affect any other part of the site.

6. Children's Privacy

Online Compass Pro does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The site contains no sign-up flow, account creation, or data submission forms. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact email, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have emailed us, you may request deletion of that email correspondence at any time by contacting support@onlinecompasspro.com.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the GDPR. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA. Because we collect no personal data beyond direct email correspondence, these rights are satisfied by default.

8. Security

All pages are served over HTTPS. Sensor data processed on-device is never transmitted. We do not maintain databases of user information, so there is no user data at risk of a breach.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
